I was thinking that Dynamite and Johnny Smith were the New British Bulldogs and Smith and Wilson are the Stampede/Canadian Bulldogs.

But Owen and Davey sure as hell weren't.

Of course they were a real tag team, not that it seems to matter here.

Not when he deserves to win against a team that wasn't an actual damn team. But apparently Owen's gonna feel Karma as he knocked out a spooky legend unfairly and now a spooky legend is gonna knock him out unfairly.

If you regard them as a legit team, so be it. I see them as a part of WWE's doing away with tag teams and instead just putting main eventers together in big marquee showdowns. Its what effectively killed tag team wrestling in America until ROH and TNA gave it a kick start and I hate it. That Kane and Taker had titles is meaningless since "The Two Man Power Trip" did too and an extended partnership just plays like an alliance to me. From what I remember their primary feud was with the WWE Champ and IC Champion and to me that personifies that disregard Bischoff and Vince put on the tag titles and made every one a singles wrestler.

But I am kind of picky about the idea of Tag Teams and what aren't and that era of WCW and WWF when Bischoff and McMahon basically tried to kill the idea of tag teams because they decided they sucked is a sort point to me.

See, BOD, I think, is an exception to your rule. It's not just the titles; like Bundy/Studd, they tagged for at least a year+. BOD still "one night onlys" as a tag team occasionally. It's not like Power Trip or DX which were just thrown together for a psuedo-singles program.

Owen/Bulldog were huge when I was really cutting my wrestling teeth, so I'm backing them pretty strongly.

If I recall correctly, Taker and Kane tagged from April til November in 01, which pretty much covers the Invasion era. I'd count them as a real tag team. But I still voted for Bulldog and Owen.

MTA: And yes, the New British Bulldogs were Johnny Smith and Dynamite Kid. Although I think they ahd to change their name to something else because Davey Boy owned the name "British Bulldog."

But under no circumstances were Davey Boy and Owen the "New" British Bulldog. That's just stupid. Owen was Canadian.

And actually, I was a little wrong too. Johnny Smith and Dynamite Kid went by the name "The British Bruisers" since Davey Boy trademarked the name "British Bulldog." Part of the reason why Kid hated Davey Boy til the day he died.
