Four teams of four will compete in various matches representing their team over the next three pay-per-view events. The team that emerges with the most points will win World and Tag Team Championship shots, as well as the crowning of the first Intercontinental Champion. In round 2, the winners will earn 2 point for their team.

I'll just go on record and say that I hate that I'm facing Eco because his card is so good. I feel like my card matches up really well though. Great job, Eco.

This is tough. I think what separates the two is Eric's Tag Title Match is between a comedy duo and a couple of jobbers (This is my opinion of that foursome) and the World Cup thing has too many meh guys for me to care. You've got some great top matches, but that's pretty much it.

To speak for myself a bit:

I think my gauntlet match acquits itself well (it's a gimmick I miss from wrestling today), as should the women's title match for those who care. Booker/Kofi and Hernandez/Benjamin are two matches that I'd love to see where the competitors never crossed paths but where I think styles match well (Booker and Hernandez against slightly smaller opponents moving a step ahead of their pace.) Swagger/Von Erich is a dream All-American match for me in a weird way too, in that I think Swagger's style can mesh with the older Texas approach without being jarring.

I'm trying to take a view of TLC that is much closer to a brawling match than jumping high spots, though Crazy and Doug Basham are good for those too. I may be taking a bit of a risk by putting Los Guerreros in the big tag match but I think well enough of them to do so. Sasaki/Chono and Inoki/Mascaras are great IMO, but I know not everyone knows the guys--check out Inoki and Chono on YouTube if you've never had the chance though, Inoki wrestled for a LONG time without losing much.

Also, clearly I should have just let myself win by the 4-2 this was stuck at. ;-) Nice job to Eric, as always.

Defending my matchups...

CM Punk vs. Kurt Angle is a high level match-up that we've never seen. (at least, not to my recollection.) If I had time to write out stories, the story would be CM Punk, who had just unified 3 belts together at the last PPV, goes on to face Kurt Angle, who had to win 3 straight matches to get a shot at the belt. Punk is straight edge, Angle is an Olympic Champion, but one who has his share of drug problems, which Punk will gladly point out. A great match that doesn't rely on gimmicks to end the pay-per-view.

My Tag Team Title match is kind of weak and I'll admit that. In fact, my tag team division isn't that strong, but at the same time, with Dev and Sharky going all Tag Team Wrestling on us, no one really has what I would call a "strong" tag team division. Too Cool was portrayed as comedy wrestlers, but they can wrestle too, and that's what they'll be doing. KC James and Idol Stevens was a short lived team on Smackdown, and this match is meant to test the champions by offering up competition from another company.

The Elimination Chamber has 6 fantastic wrestlers. Shawn Michaels we know about. We know what he can do inside that environment. But throw in technical guys like Doug Williams and Dean Malenko and that makes this gimmick match that much more competitive from a wrestling standpoint. Throw in MVP, who can hold his own, especially with the workers around him, and then Kenta Kobashi, one of the all time greats, and Brent Albright, a really good wrestling from ROH and the independent scene, and this Elimination Chamber has the tools to blow any of the WWE Elimination Chambers out of the water. The added stipulation of winning getting a shot just makes the outcome of this match that more dramatic.

The Naturals and The Thrillseekers are two other tag teams in my company. This match has nothing official on the line, but we can assume the winner gets a tag team title shot soon.

As for the World Cup. I've deliberately put the guys who we don't know about or care about in this thing. It gives you a reason to care about these guys. These are the guys who are fighting it out for championship title shots. The captain of the winning team gets a shot at the World Championship, the tag team members get a shot at the Tag Team Titles, and the 4th member of the group will become the first Intercontinental Champion. Every match up presents higher stakes. The World Cup will end at the next pay-per-view, with the captains facing off in an Ultimate X match. (Spoiler alert). Also, I know a lot of these guys are unknown - I would encourage you to check them out. They are all very exciting wrestlers.

Eco has a great card, and he offers some great wrestling. All I can say is that I hope my card is more appealing to you, if only on the basis of my two big matches. Buy the show for those matches, and enjoy the other matches as appetizers.

CM Punk got a cheap victory after a long, hard fought match against Kurt Angle. Teddy Long decides to give Angle one more shot. Shawn Michaels won the Elimination Chamber and gets his return match here. This is a three way dance - first pin only eliminates wrestler that gets pinned, but doesn't end the match.

No real story here. Too Cool has been on a roll. The Naturals and James/Stevens are trying to unseat the champs.

If I had the time to write out my storylines, this would have been an on going story throughout the competition, dating all the way back to during the draft. Keeping with the "3 way or 4 way" theme, a best of 3 falls is used here, with MVP citing it as "his" match.

And that's it. Only 5 matches. I could give you Suicide, or Luke Gallows, or throw Kelly Kelly to face Layla out there, but I think these 5 matches would have been plenty, especially with the gimmicks. I think the Main Event could go 45 minutes easily. Let the Tag Team Title match be the breather for everyone. 12 Man Elimination Match could be a lot of fun, if not a trainwreck. Ultimate X Match would definitely deliver. And the 3 Stages Match could be a lot of fun too.

Anyways, it was very fun to do this. Next draft I participate in, I won't be drafting to win like I've done the past two years. Don't get me wrong, I've also drafted companies that I've REALLY enjoyed. But, similar to what GB did last year (and I won't be doing the same thing he did) I kind of want to enjoy the story aspect of the draft more than just drafting to win.
