i think i'm gonna go to OO and find one of the jokes people made about john ritter when he died, and place benoit's name into it and see who yells at me
Well, why don't you turn it around? If John Ritter's death had been a murder/suicide would it make any jokes less tacky? Or more tacky?
And if you think that wrestler deaths are given special treatment and are considered off-limits for humor, you obviously never read the "I Woke My Girlfriend and We Cried Together" thread.
Which is not surprising since you aren't a wrestling fan and never visit the wrestling folders. So why do it now? What are you trying to prove?

i have read that thread. it was funny. and it was allowed because the subject was the poster, not the wrestler.
you may be a little too new to know about or remember this, but i've been in some pretty hefty arguements with modprime throughout the years about the treatment of dead wrestlers as opposed to other dead celebrities on that site. the place it started, in the liz death thread, seems of have been reduced to only 9 posts so my entire arguement was gone, but basically i got shit for saying i didn't really care that liz had died as i've never really been a fan, and that i was much more upset when chris farley died. i was attacked by just about everyone saying that it doesn't matter if i was a fan or not and if i'm gonna be negative to just not post cuz it's soooooooo disrespectful of the dead.
i made the arguement that it was bullshit because this sort of attitude would never be taken toward's a non-wrestling celebrity, and basically every point i made was proven right when john ritter died and it was open season.

I haven't watched in over a month. Haven't missed it one bit. I heard this on the radio on my way to work. Otherwise I would have had no idea. (Incidentally, I just finished the last two pages of the OO thread, and read Jeb's typical masturbatory bunk, and realized that I haven't missed that one bit, either.)
I totally agree with that. I don't even remember the last time I posted anything wrestling-related at OO. Can't say I really missed much either.

"But yeah, I'd rather stick my dick in a dead guys asshole then watch Anchorman again." - Creeps
i'm pissed that benoit turned out to be a murderer. i was gonna use this as an opportunity to get banned from OO, and now being nasty about it is acceptable.

Come on - creative guy like you can come up with all sorts of unpleasantries turning benoit into a hero or the family into deserving victims, or other.
Hell - reply to my note about how I'm going to 7/2 Raw/Smackdown next Monday with Top 10 signs I should bring.

And just to be clear...despite above "joking" (if it can even be called that), I'm mortified about what's happened.
Right now I'm 1300 miles away from my family and my 7 year old boy and all I can think about is saying "screw it" to the rest of my business trip and jumping on a plane home.

And when work asks for more reasons I'll tell 'em my friends on teh internets told me to do it.
In somewhat related news, be looking for a job posting for a Director - Market Planning and Segmentation at Verizon within the next week....
FYI I've already deleted one post here that I typed, posted, and then retroactively decided it was bad (and Pun caught me cuz he replied to it w/o quoting it). Wasn't trying to Parvani...but just felt weird reading what I had written.

The dog is my parent’s dog. For the first four years of her life I lived with them while I was in High School. She is started to go crazy in her older age. When she is left alone for long stertches of time she is starting to wreck the house. She has scratched up doors and caused mny parents a lot of headache. It's gotten so bad they need to cage her when she leaves. Well last weekend they took a trip to Savannah. When they got home the Dining Room set was ripped to shreds, the chairs were scratched up, the new stove was even scratched up. She had gotten out of her cage sometime in the last few hours they were gone. The house was fine earlier that day when my Uncle fed her and let her out for awhile. Well the damages are over $1,000 and my parents decided it they couldn't handle her anymore. They brought her to the Humane Society Monday. There is a chance she will be adopted. She is a fantastic dog other then her habit of being scared when alone. She is great with kids. My hope is somebody will take her in that needs companionship and has the time to devote. She’d be perfect for a new retired couple. But there is also a chance the human society will fill up and she’ll need to be euthanized. I wish I could take her. My wife is allergic to dog and cat hair. Last month she went to the hospital with a terrible rash. The doctors were pretty clear that she should stay away from animals as best as she could. The saddest part is she loved that dog too and the last time we saw her was Father’s Day. Both of us could not really pet her. I’m really bummed that will probably be the last time I see her. I’m praying somebody we know will adopt her and we can truly get a chance to say good bye.
So that’s the story. If you know anybody in Central Florida who wants a cute Dalmatian let me know.

No - that was a joke (I'm ON today baby, ON) about my current job opening up if I made the decision to fly home on account of some dead wrestler and my friends on teh internet giving me advice in support of that.
