Honestly Andy, you were alot more tolerable in this episode then what I remember hearing in the past (I listened to one Flawedcast and parts of 2 MNFs before I just gave up)
I just think you laugh at your own jokes way too long and it detracts from what you're saying.
And the language. Holy shit man, when every third word out of your mouth is "Fuck" the word loses some of it's impact. Cussing is fine to a point, but when you cross that point, it starts to become a crutch.
I gave you shit for your laugh early on as a joke but half the time it cracks me up even more. And PP likes it. She hates that I rarely laugh, even if I find something extremely funny.
Is it so hard to imagine? Is it so hard to believe? Something so outrageous, something so far-fetched, well how 'bout Adam and Eve?
I just want to address Pun's response to Sharky's email. Pun said, "I along with EVERY OTHER MEDIA MEMBER (I'll leave the part about Pun including himself in the media alone) picked the Angels to win that division."
I remember most predictions having the Rangers come out on top in the West. I decided to check by googling MLB preseason predictions 2012. The first four sites were split 2-2. Then came SI.com's experts predictions. Five picked the Rangers and three picked the Angels. I stopped looking after that. I'm not saying picking the Angels was a bad bet. My thoughts before the season started were that it would be a very close race with the Rangers just edging the Angels out, but we all know what a homer I am. I've picked the Rangers to win the division every year that I can remember. Still, don't say you went with the concensus when at best, the media was split and at worst, more picked the Rangers.

And really, I was not seriously taking Nate to task about the Angels pick. IT is early, but the Rangers have had this great start, but the early season talk in baseball was the Red Sox slow start, Pujols not homering, and the Dodgers out of the blue hot start. No mention that the Rangers matched that hot start.
It was you. And yes, now that you have a mic in front of you, you have to expect people to take you to task for everything you say. I think we need to switch up the shows, Andy & Pun do the baseball and Solly & Tyler do Flawedcast this way instead of 1 podcast giving me a headache and 1 giving me narcolepsy, we can have 2 that do a combination of both.
Also, FUCK YOU SOLLY! But Thank you Andy for all the plugs.
On a constructive criticism note, I know you're a Cubs/Mets fan doing a baseball podcast but it needs to be more of a baseball podcast and less of a Cubs/Mets podcast. I get that you're strengths are with the Cubs and Mets, but to be honest those two teams mean nothing this year. Highlight them quick but move on to the interesting teams. So far this year, more should have been said about the Dodgers/Kemp and Rangers/Hamilton and even Red Sox/Valentine/Bullpen among other big stories. I don't even remember you mentioning Fenway's 100th anniversary.
But other than that, I do feel you two are getting more comfortable so that's help.
I mentioned Fenway, but Solly is right. It was really pointless to have an outline for last night's show.
EDIT - And I'm not saying I shouldn't be taken to task at times, but for that? It's hyperbole. And besides, haven't I made it abundantly clear throughout the tenure of my time on OO and PH that I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about most of the time?
For the record, Lou, I think it was Andy that said every media member. I don't remember including myself. If I did, it was a mistake.
And really? You're taking me to task, because I used a bit of hyperbole, just like about anyone else who has a microphone in front of him?
I'm just messing with you. I don't know if you know this about me, but I'm a little touchy when it comes to the Rangers. Can you blame me? I mean, it's been 40 years and no WS title. I don't have time to look it up, but that's gotta be the most. I can't imagine any team being so bad that they've gone more than 40 years with no title.
Also, while I'm here, I think I disagree with Sop about focusing on other teams. I think it's just too difficult to speak with any real knowledge or insight about teams that you don't get to watch on a regular basis. You guys know the Cubs and Mets and actually sound like you know what you're talking about. But if you talk about the Rangers for example, you sound like guys who read the one paragraph devoted to another team on the fifth page of your local paper's sports page. I could talk all day every day about the Rangers and I know quite a bit about the teams in their division because I see those guys a lot. I can speak semi-knowledgeably about other teams in the AL, because I see them 6 to 7 times a year. I can't tell you shit about any NL team.
Lou makes a good point. Obviously, we know more about the Cubs and Mets, because that's what we read about and watch every day. I do try to keep up with other teams as much as possible (especially now), but I know that with me personally, I only have so much time to watch or read about other teams.
Unfortunately, that (along with the dulcet tones of Solly and myself) probably turns some people off.
Not to tell you how to do your show, but here I go: if you're going to do the twice a week thing, maybe do one with three people and one by yourselves every week. If you have a constantly different person in there with some knowledge about their own team, it might bring a fresh perspective. I'll totally agree that, I only have a peripheral knowledge of the AL, but I don't catch that many AL games. I watch Giants games. I can tell you plenty about the other teams in the NL West, and a bit about the other teams in the NL that we see a lot, but I don't really see the AL teams that often. Other than the clips we all see, I don't think I've watched a complete AL game since the playoffs.
And Dev, unless you know something I don't, I'm pretty sure I'll be producing your show. So maybe you should be nice to me. I can seriously fuck your shit up in editing.
I'm a pro, I stand back from the mic when I'm yelling or laughing. So I'll be screaming at the top of my lungs, but I'm actually not all that loud. I think Nate was actually the loudest voice on the track.
