I think Lucky was just answering all the talk about the Mortal Kombat-esque picture graph that might possibly chart the draft. People are just making it too complicated, with Byrne and Mike basically alludeding to making the MK pictures more in tune with what the lineups were going to look like. Essentially Lucky was agreeing with Brad and I, and the "rewriting" that he thought was silly was drafting/slotting at the same time.
MTA: See? I was so right Lucky knew I was going to explain things.

If someone is making the MK pics for each draft pick, it should be easy for us to use the pics to create our own line-up page. Much like the Wrestling Draft where Lucky made the thumbnails of each wrestler and we could use them in our cards.

This game has sent me to imdb more than I ever wanted to visit. So no daytime television means no Saturday morning cartoons? That makes me a little sad.
Here's an idea. In phase two if this becomes a showdown, the winner of the one-on-one match-up (if that's how it ends up working) gets to take 3 hours worth (or whatever) of programming from the line-up it defeats and substitute it into their own. By the end, the line-ups will be built into ULTIMATE line-ups.

I'll be offline for most of the night. I have softball tonight. I left my cell number with Dev and Lucky, Solly, and Mike should all have it as well from previous drafts. When my turn comes up can somebody text me to let me know which two picks went off the board and I'll text back my pick?
Or don't do either. If you can't find an image you like at either than don't force it. Just give me something you like and which will look good on the board.
I thought he had mentioned it would be a first-come first-served drop/add period. Not positive on that, though.
And out of curiosity, how is this whole "competition" going to work? Has the structure been laid out, yet? If so, please point me in the right direction. (If it's blaringly obvious where I should look, I will fully admit to being a moron. Final days of grad school have really fried my brain lately.)
A showdown. From what I can remember he's going to give 2 random networks byes, create a 24th network from what's left over, and then run 3 way showdowns or something. Then 2nd round would be traditional 1 vs 1. I'm not sure. I know its a showdown but when Dev described it to me I'm pretty sure I became convinced he works for TNA and is responsible for the Reverse Battle Royal.
Or don't do either. If you can't find an image you like at either than don't force it. Just give me something you like and which will look good on the board.
I figured it would be showdown format, but will it be full-week vs. full-week? Or like a separate showdown for each night of the week? Or even a sadistic showdown of each 30-minute time slot?!?
Or don't do either. If you can't find an image you like at either than don't force it. Just give me something you like and which will look good on the board.
There will be a 2 day window, first-come/first-serve for anyone that wants to drop a show, add a show.
The showdowns will be week against week. So, once we're finished drafting and you feel comfortable with your lineup, send it to me and I will create a spreadsheet with the lineup to post in the matchup. Something similar to what Lucky's already done.
Format wise I was planning on 24 networks (8 3-way matchups with the lowest being eliminated) then 16 then 8 then 4 then 2 then the winner. I could go 24 then 12 (4 3-way matchups with the lowest being eliminated) then 8 then 4 then 2 then the winner.
So, let me know which everyone prefers?
A) 24-16-8-4-2-1 B) 24-12-8-4-2-1
I personally will choose A because I don't like only one person getting a bye into the second round while 11 people are eliminated. I'd rather 2 people get a bye and only 7 are eliminated at that portion.
We will NOT be doing "ultimate" networks as suggested previously.
